The latest transfer news says English Premier League champions are ready to let their defender, David Luiz join Arsenal as part of a deal to take Gunner’s striker, Olivier Giroud to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have offered David Luiz to Arsenal as part of a swap deal involving Olivier Giroud, according to the Daily Star.
Gunners manager, Arsene Wenger reportedly has been interested in a move for Brazilian centre-back, who has become surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
Luiz would be a welcome boost to the Arsenal defence, with Wenger deterred by the price of West Brom centre-back Jonny Evans.
Meanwhile, Arsenal and Chelsea have agreed a £15million fee plus bonuses and add-ons for Olivier Giroud.
According to Sky Sports Italia, the deal will not be completed until the Gunners finalize Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s transfer from Borussia Dortmund.
On Monday night, Italian football expert, Gianluca DiMarzio, confirmed that talks between the two London clubs “are progressing well”.
Giroud was pictured in Arsenal training on Monday, ahead of their Premier League trip to Swansea City on Tuesday, in deep discussion with manager Arsene Wenger.
Antonio Conte is in search of a target man in the winter transfer window. The window closes 11pm on January 31.
